Green Hill

​​Developer JPI has purchased the property behind Sheetz on Hillsborough Road and Lasalle Street and the adjacent property where two hotels were located foryears. Plans are to build a residential complex with apartments and for-rent townhomes, with the townhomes being on N Lasalle St. Specifically, over the next couple of years this 12.6-acre site will transform into 42 for-rent townhome apartments in 7 three-story buildings along Lasalle St. Further west from Lasalle St will be a large 5-story apartment building that will include 398 units.

 

Demolition of the buildings began in August 2026 and by early October all of the buildings were demolished, including the hotels on Hillsborough Rd.
