Aura Green Hill

The developer has scrapped this project (to be called Aura Green Hill). The properties are for sale and the buyer can develop in accordance with the current development plan (including concessions to our neighborhood) or ask for rezoning unless changes to Durham's Unified Development Ordinance allow otherwise. July 10 Update: the sale of this property is under contract with a new developer. We will pass along details when we hear.

 

The parcel nearest WHH is behind Sheetz on Hillsborough Road and runs along LaSalle St directly across from WHH residences. The building at the back of the property was a Best Products store among other ventures over the years. It has been vacant for many years.

The developer had planned to acquire this parcel and adjacent property where two hotels are now. Plans were to demolish the former retail building and the hotels and build a residential complex with apartments and townhomes. The developer and neighbors have met several times over the last two years. We appreciate the opportunity to see plans and offer our input.
