Watts Hospital-Hillandale Neighborhood Association

COVID-19

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Watts Hillandale is organizing a mutual aid program so we can support one another. Our effort in Watts Hillandale is part of a broader Durham-wide Mutual Aid Network that addresses the concerns that might arise and the support that might be needed across Durham as a result of COVID-19. Below you will find information about how you can participate and also some useful and important resources.

The Watts Hillandale mutual aid program has put together this MUTUAL AID SURVEY of needs, and we invite you to participate. Please note that if you prefer, you are welcome to add nothing more than your name and address if you do not want to receive or give support during at this time.

A major component of this effort is to ensure each block in the neighborhood has a coordinator who can gather contact information for block members. Coordinators will be attentive to the needs of folks on their block, which might be as simple as ensuring that a neighbor has someone who checks on them once in a while. If you are interested in helping out, you can indicate it on the MUTUAL AID SURVEY, or you can simply follow THIS BLOCK COORDINATORS LINK to a sign up genius site and volunteer. We hope we will soon have every block covered.

If you or someone you know is in need of assistance, you can contact  wattshillandalemutualaid@gmail.com
