The Watts Hospital-Hillandale neighborhood has been working with the City of Durham for several years on a traffic calming plan for West Club Boulevard between Hillandale Road and Broad Street. Phase 1 is funded and designed and consists of a median at Oval Park. Phase 1 construction is scheduled for Summer 2006.
Phase 2 includes neckouts and a traffic circle at other intersections along Club. Phase 2 will be constructed in 2007 with bonds approved by voters in 2005.
